How long does cabinet refinishing take?

Most kitchens take three to five working days on site. Doors and drawer fronts are sprayed off-site or in a contained booth, so your kitchen stays usable for most of the project. Larger kitchens with heavy grease or extensive repairs can run slightly longer, and we confirm the timeline in writing before we start.

Is refinishing cheaper than replacing cabinets?

Considerably. Refinishing typically costs a fraction of new cabinetry because your existing boxes, layout and hardware locations stay in place. If your cabinet boxes are solid and the layout works, refinishing gives you the biggest visual change for the money.

What paint do you use?

We use purpose-built cabinet coatings designed for high-touch surfaces — not standard wall paint. Products are chosen per project based on your existing finish and the sheen you want, and they are applied with HVLP spray equipment over a bonding primer.

Question 4

Do I need to empty my cabinets?

Accepted Answer

Please empty the top drawer and any items stored against the doors. Cabinet interiors can usually stay packed unless you have asked us to finish the insides. We handle all masking, protection and dust control.

How durable is the finish?

Very. Proper degreasing, sanding, bonding primer and a sprayed topcoat produce a hard, washable surface built for daily kitchen use. The coating continues to cure over the first couple of weeks, and we leave simple care instructions so it stays looking new.

We work across Ontario, including Aurora, Newmarket, East Gwillimbury, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, King and surrounding communities. If you are just outside these areas, ask — we often travel for larger projects.
